The Ministry of Health has issued a disclaimer to deny a publication on Ghana Web concerning an alleged publication purported to have directed Ghana Education Service (GES) to allow all final years in JHS and SHS to go home as government imposes ban on all public gatherings in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

“The Ministry of Health wishes to inform the public that it has not issued any directive to the Ghana Education Service on the issue” (directing BECE and WASSCE students to go home). The statement said.

The Ministry clarified that, the purported letter dated 17th March, 2020 was a letter directing Principals of public Health Training Institutions under the Ministry of Health to allow all final year public health students to go home until further notice.

It again added that, the public should treat the said publication which has been trending on social media through the help of the news portal as untrue, inaccurate and misleading.
