Waiting Period For Upgrading Of Teachers Slashed From 4 Years To 2 Years — Bawumia

Government has reduced the period for promotion of Teachers who upgraded themselves from four years to two years, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has said.

The Vice President made this revelation in his presentation during the Launch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Manifesto for the 2020 Elections at the University of Cape Coast.

He said:”We have halved the waiting period before the promotion of teachers who upgrade their qualifications and skills to 2 years”

Dr Bawumia also indicated that the New Patritic Pary Government has successfully implemented the Free SHS/Free TVET Program.

”We have successfully implemented the Free SHS/Free TVET programme” He said.

Tertiary Utility Bills

Dr Bawumia said government has succesfully abolished the payment of Utility Bills in Tertiary Institutions.

“Through the Tertiary Education Policy, we have abolished the payment of utility bills in tertiary Institutions” He said.

BECE/WASSCE Registration

The Vice President added that government has paid the registration fees of West African Senir School Examonation (WASSCE) and the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) Candidates.

“We have absorbed BECE examination fees in 2018 and that of the WASSCE in 2020″He said.
