A joint communique between the Ghana Education Service(GES) as well as the Ghana Health Service(GHS) has assured all parents, staff, students, education authorities and the general public that GES and GHS are putting measures to ensure that pupils, students and staff are well protected from the coronavirus.
In view of this, the Ghana Education Service together with the Ghana Health Service have introduced a call center lines to all schools in case the following signs are detected among the staff, or student: running nose, coughing, sneezing, high temperature. The numbers to call are; 0558439868 / 0509497700 or toll-free line 199.
Also educational materials on coronavirus which were jointly made by the duo, the GES and the GHS are in distribution to various schools to help create awareness. Hand sanitizers, “Veronica buckets” “tippy taps”among others were assured to be provided for the fight against the virus.
The communique again charged heads of various schools to share regular updates on all activities relating to the coronavirus with the GES and the GHS.
