The 38th annual technology exhibition show 2018 which is annually organised by Apostle Dr. Ing. Kwodwo Safo Kantanka who is the Chairman of the kantanka group and the founder and leader of Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana saw a massive turn out on Sunday, 30th December, 2018.
The colourful gathering, saw the chancellor of Kwame Nkrumah University Of Science and Technology (KNUST) who also doubles as the Asantehene of the Asante kingdom, His majesty Otumfuor Osei Tutu II who graced the occasion as the guest of honour. Other dignitries ranging from government officials, persons who man a sector of the various universities in the country, heads of public security among others came to witness this year’s annual exhibition show. Notable among them are Professor Opayin Agyekum, head of linguistics university of Ghana Legon, Professor George Kuffuor, head of medical and herbal research KNUST, Professor Frimpong Boateng and the Senior Minister, Honourable Yaw Osafo Marfo who represented the president of the republic at the gathering.
The chairman of the gathering, His Majesty Otumfuor Osei Tutu II delivering his speech, urged heads of educational institutions especially the universities to sit Apostle kwodwo Safo down and document the process he used in building his technologies so that those documents can serve as a precedence for future generations. He also added that, it is about time Ghanaians patronise in made in Ghana goods and that will help the nation to succeed. He made reference to how China and India used technology to succeed even though they were suppressed by the British who painted their goods as inferior. He hinted that, they patronised in their own goods and little by little they have made waves globally with their serious attention given to science and technology. He urged Apostle Dr. Ing. Kwodwo Safo for his good works and his support. He promised him a land in kumasi which will be used to establish a science and technology school.
This year’s technology exhibition show saw
1. One of the biggest Armoured Tanker in the world.
2. A car which detect dizziness and drunkenness level which automatically turns off the engine when sleeping and over-speeding.
3. Locally built electronic stabilisers
4. A luxurious three tyres car with door slides.
Aside these, Apostle Safo also lectured on the need to advocate for organic planting. He show cased his organic produce.
During an interview supervised by CEDI NEWS, Prof. Opayin Agyekum urged the government to support the work of Apostle Kwodwo Sarfo. He added that, the government can even include some of his works into the one district one factory initiative (1D1F). He urge all and sundry in the media fraternity to question ministers and member of parliament who sit behind TV and Radio discussions to drum it loud for government to peg this initiative into the 1D1F initiative.
