A statement from the Ghana Education Service’s Facebook page has assured schools in Ghana on the move in addressing the issue of Coronavirus.
A joint meeting between the Ghana Education Service (GES) and the Ghana Health Service (GHS) was held today to discuss measures to put in place in all schools to prevent the COVID-19.
The discussion saw the Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service and other health and educational entourage.
In their discussion, measures were laid which were aimed at metigating the spread of the virus.
Among the issues discussed by the duo were:
•Finalisation of content on Education materials,
•orientation and sensitization of staff and students of GES
•call centre lines for teachers to call in case any of the signs and symptoms of COVID-19 is detected in any of the children.
The statement also assured that, a detailed plan concerning their meeting will be made known in due course.
